Heart Evangelista remembers late Senator Miriam Santiago on her first death anniversary

It has already been a year since the passing of Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago but the emptiness and longing remain in Heart Evangelista.

Today, September 29, marks the first death anniversary of the esteemed senator, and the Kapuso actress celebrated her memory.

Heart shared their photo on Instagram, and wrote, “One year has passed. Here I am thinking you’re just abroad, that one day the phone will just ring and we’ll talk for hours about anything and everything under the sun. How I wish that was true.”

She also acknowledged the presence and continuing role of Senator Santiago in her life.

“But, your unconditional love and wisdom inspire and help me go through each day. Tita M, you will always be my ‘Queen of Hearts,” Heart added.

Senator Santiago passed on while asleep in 2016. She had been battling lung cancer since 2014.
