Miss World Philippines 2017 Laura Lehmann and Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2017 Wyn Marquez are scheduled to leave this week, and compete on their respective beauty pageants this November.

The two queens said that their trainings during Miss World Philippines 2017 helped them a lot to prepare them for their upcoming international competitions.

“I trained a lot during Miss World Philippines and after [it as well]. That’s just the basic pageant training [like] how to walk [and] how to prepare your look,” Laura shared with GMANetwork.com yesterday (October 18) at the Miss World PH send-off party.

The former courtside reporter will be on her own in China so she had to learn everything to apply it on the pageant day. She is also leaving all the negativity behind to get her mind to focus on winning the Miss World crown.

“When you get there, you have to be light, you have to be willing to participate and meet the other girls, and just to be positive about everything,” she said, adding, “I just want to make sure on November 18, I’m fresh, and I’m my best self. I [want to] make sure I get a good night’s sleep to answer that question in front of millions of people.”

Meanwhile, Wyn is rounding up all her trainings in less than a month for the competition on November 4. The Kapuso star said, “Humahawak kami sa momentum namin eh since after Miss World [ay] tuloy-tuloy naman so fresh pa ‘yung trainings [and] everything.”

She also had a crash course on Spanish, “I just want to learn some words na kahit papaano maintindihan ko kung anong sinasabi nila, even key words ‘pag nagsasalita sila. Mainly, I trained for walking [kaya] maiiba ‘yung walk ko nang konti.”
