FIND OUT: Which Kapuso singer inspired Gabbi Garcia to write her own music?

While at the press and bloggers' conference for her recently released single, "All I Need," Gabbi Garcia was asked if she wrote the lyrics of the song.

According to Gabbi, "I wrote it together with Kuya Christian Bautista, he is also the co-producer and he was the one who pushed me to create my own music."

She then shared the story on how her collaboration with Christian came about.

"The whole idea started last year, kasi ang istorya niyan, si Christian and I, we sang together in Eat Bulaga. Tapos in-approach niya ako, narinig niya ako kumanta. Sabi niya sa 'kin, 'How come you haven't created your music?' Sabi ko, 'Wala, concentrated pa ako sa serye and wala pa akong nakikitang opportunity to be able to venture into music.' Tapos sabi niya, 'You wanna create? Tara, gawa tayo,'" said the Kapuso singer-actress.

Gabbi also talked about their creative process in writing and making her debut single.

"Nagkaroon kami ng Encantadia. Christian was also there so medyo naging busy, one year din 'yung taping namin. Fast forward to June, when I got back from vacation, [nag-text] na si Christian. We started writing the whole song, super fast lang 'yung song, an hour lang kaming magkausap, may kanta na kami. Sa songwriting kasi I feel like, in my opinion, the more na naging impulse mo lang siya and you write about it, mas okay 'eh. Tapos my sister and I, inareglo namin. Ginawa naming acoustic muna and then pinass namin kay Marcus Davis which is the music producer of the track. I've been present sa lahat ng editing kasi I'm very hands on. I really know what sound I want to sound like, RnB na chill, very relatable to everyone my age," she narrated.

Gabbi also gave a live performance of her "All I Need" as a treat for the media and bloggers.
