Congratulations, mga Kapuso!
Kapuso celebrities Marian Rivera and Miguel Tanfelix were recognized in the 1st National College of Science and Technology (NCST) Dangal ng Bayan Awards in Dasmariñas City, Cavite yesterday, January 12.

Kapuso PR Girl shared on Instagram some highlights of the awarding ceremony.
In his acceptance speech, Miguel mentioned why this particular award is special to him.
He said, "Espesyal po para sa akin ang award na ito sapagkat ako po ay isang mamamayan ng Dasmariñas Cavite at napakasarap po pala ng pakiramdam na pinaparangalan ka sa sarili mong bayan kung saan ako lumaki at hinubog at hinuhubog pa bilang tao."
Miguel also mentioned that this award will serve as his inspiration to be better in his craft, in his studies, and in being a role model to the youth.
"Importante po sakin tong award na to dahil gagawin ko po tong isa sa mga inspirasyon ko para pagbutihin ang mga ginagawa ko. Pagbutihin ang aking pag-arte, siyempre hindi lang po 'yun pati ang pag-aaral ko, ang pagiging isang good role model sa youth at pagbutihin ang isang pagiging resposableng kabataan upang itaguyod pa lalo dangal ng mga Kabitenyo na nagmula sa bayan ng Dasmariñas."
The NCST is an educational institution in Dasmariñas, Cavite that's "engaged in the research and development of new courses, as well as the enhancement of existing curricula and the further improvement of its facilities to support the various program offerings."
According to the report of GMA News Online, the winners were selected through voting by the six departments of NCST last October 2017. NCST students also voted for "men, women, TV programs, and institution who inspired them to excel in their chosen fields” in November 25, 2017.
