What Tetchie Agbayani thinks of her men's magazine cover after 36 years

By Michelle Caligan

Seasoned actress Tetchie Agbayani is the only Pinay to be on the cover of American men's magazine Playboy, gracing its July 1982 issue. This move propelled her career in Hollywood, and other celebrities have always looked up to her achievements.

But Tetchie, who is part of the upcoming Afternoon Prime series Contessa, says that she was just doing her job during her Playboy stint.

"Kasi po, 'yung nakikita nilang 'yun, nasa picture, it's a persona. Like in Playboy, you have to be attractive. And when they asked me to do that work, I wanted to stress on the beautiful shape of a woman, the beautiful curves of a woman. I didn't want to do spread eagle and show [everything]. It's not like that," she shared during the press conference of Contessa on Monday, March 5.

After I leave that job, I resume my being me."

The former sexy star also told the press that she doesn't keep any memorabilia from her films.

Contessa begins on March 19 on GMA Afternoon Prime after Eat Bulaga.
