Netizens, viewers wholeheartedly receive new GMA station ID
Following GMA Network’s launch of ‘Buong Puso Para sa Kapuso’ last March 9, viewers took to social media their reactions on the new station ID (SID).
Most netizens shared how they became emotional and nostalgic after watching the Kapuso SID which featured the Network’s humble beginnings. On its launch date, the hashtag #BuongPusoParaSaKapuso became the country’s number one trending topic on Twitter while the video hit one million views online in less than 48 hours.
Facebook user and loyal Kapuso Jackson Pulvera expressed his appreciation. “Sobrang ganda ng video. From humble beginnings ng GMA, from Uncle Bob until now. Kung Kapuso kang tunay talagang maiiyak ka at maappreciate mo ang message ng video. Solid Kapuso here mula noon hanggang ngayon.”
Mark Fajutnao also noted how it had shown less of the artists as stars but, instead, focused on the true meaning of being a Kapuso. “The best ‘to. Hindi lang puro pakita ng mga artista. 'Di lang puro exposure. Pinapakita kung ano nga ba ang kahulugan ng “Kapuso” at kung bakit dapat ipagmalaki na ika’y isang Kapuso,” he added.
Meanwhile, YouTube user Angel Mhaey Singlian commented, “I cried because I am very proud for the network that I loved. Ever since, they never let me and my whole family down in showing us the real love, entertainment, truth, reliable news and many more. Thank you so much GMA7 Kapuso Network. #ForeverKapuso.”
Youtuber Byul also said that the SID’s message is nice and clear despite its simplicity. “First, GMA is here to serve. Second, [they] give quality shows. Lastly, [they] report the truth, as they have for more than 60 years.”
Joeffrey M. Sacristan, on the other hand, commented on how timeless the Kapuso theme song is which reminded him of his younger years. “Na-LSS na naman ako. Ito ang unang theme song ng GMA na natandaan ko noong bata pa ako, boses ni Regine pa yon. Ang bilis ng panahon. Pero feeling ko, bumata uli ako. Salamat GMA.”
