They may be competing for the crowns, but in the end they are friends who lift each other up when they are down.

That's what some of the candidates displayed at the Binibining PIlipinas 2018 coronation night.

Binibini 35 Sandra Lemonon's honest answer during the Q&A portion at the Binibining Pilipinas coronation night held last March 18 at the Big Dome left a lasting impression to many, even if Sandra failed to bagged any titles that day.

'Catriona Gray admits she never felt any ounce of pressure during coronation night

The beauty queen was straightforward and admitted on live TV that she did not have any idea about the “Build, Build, Build” program of President Rodrigo Duterte.

Sandra politely answered, “Actually I studied so much about this Q and A but this is something I don’t know much about. But at least I’m here trying to answer the question. Thank you."

But what's more interesting after that incident was that unbeknownst to the viewers watching at home, several Binibinis approached Sandra Lemonon to comfort her during the commercial break. Even Catriona Gray, who eventually won the Miss Universe Philippines title approached Sandra to lift her spirits up.

Sandra has broken her silence after her memorable Q&A round and posted this lengthy message on Instagram last March 20.

She said that she was surprised about the support she has been receiving since that fateful coronation night.

“Hello!!! I’m sorry that I haven’t posted this sooner! I was actually terrified to look at my phone after what happened last Sunday night .I needed some time to reflect & to let it all sink in.”

“I cannot believe the amount of support & understanding each & one of you has showed me this past hard days & I am so grateful for it. I really wasn’t expecting this response at all, so thank you ? I want to thank everyone who has helped me grow into the person I am today, to my mentors,”
