EXCLUSIVE: Joaquin Manansala is ready to go toe-to-toe with other Kapuso hunks like Jak Roberto & Derrick Monasterio

Kapuso newbie Joaquin Manansala feels overwhelmed that he is now part of the talented roster of GMA Artist Center.

The former college heartthrob who graduated from Arellano University couldn’t believe that he was able to fulfill his dream to become part of the Kapuso network.

He said, “Unang-una sa lahat sobrang saya ko nandito ako ngayon at eto na, kasi pangarap ko talaga ‘to. Tapos nag-sign ako last September last year. Wala akong masabi, sobrang pasasalamat ko sa GMA Kapuso, gagawin ko [ang] lahat matuwa [lang] sila sa akin.”

Joaquin added that he had undergone a rigorous audition to become part of GMA Artist Center.

“Nag-audition ako rito sa GMA kasama ko ‘yung brother ko si Giovanni tapos ayun ako lang ‘yung nakapasok kaya sobrang saya ko,” he shared.

Before being a Kapuso, Joaquin did several TV commercials for a fast food chain and a liquor brand.

When asked if he is ready to be compared with other Kapuso hotties like Jak Roberto and Derrick Monasterio, he said that he is up to the challenge.

“Ready na ako, siguro ready na ako kasi kung ano [ang] ibigay nilang role sa akin tatanggapin ko kasi masayang-masaya ako sa nangyari sa akin ngayon,” he explained.
