A day with Kamandag

Kamandag’s run has proven that viewers still believe in fantasy and in good triumphing over evil. Through its five months on the primetime Telebabad block, people have followed and anticipated the events in Kamandag’s life and all the characters of the story. Thus, when the chance presented itself to win an opportunity to visit Kamandag’s taping, people wasted no time in participating. Through Fanatxt and PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal), Montessa Canonigo, one of the lucky winners, was able to see the world of Ambograw and meet the characters of Carlo J. Caparas’ Kamandag. A visit in Ambograw Montessa Canonigo subscribed to Richard Gutierrez’ Fanatxt multimedia service for more than a month and her efforts paid off. She won and went to the world of Ambograw and met the cast of the top-rating show Carlo J. Caparas’ Kamandag. Preparing for their big finale, the cast and crew were more than busy; their hands were figuratively and literally full. With only a few hours of sleep and everybody visibly tired, the winners thought that they will have no chance to squeeze in the hectic schedule of the production, but they were wrong! The production and stars welcomed the fans with open arms despite their strict schedules and made sure that they experience the world of Kamandag. They did not only meet the stars they had a grand time in Ambograw. “Sana ulitin ulit! I re-wind ang Kamandag,” was Monette’s plea to the cast at the end of their journey. Meeting Kamandag Arriving, just a few minutes after the winners, Richard Gutierrez readily acknowledged their presence on the set. He accommodated their requests for autographs and even posed for photographs with them. He chatted with the four lucky ladies for a while before going on set to study his lines. “Kanina pa ba kayo?” was Richard’s first question to the winners. He was concerned that he might have made them wait for his arrival and quickly explained to them that he finished at 7 am and had to go home for a while to rest. When the fans asked him how he felt about the ending of Kamandag, he readily answered that “Mami-miss ko 'yung staff, cast and crew and the whole experience of Kamandag.” He also assured the fans that they should watch out for his next project. “May niluluto kami, malaki ito kaya lang 'di pa pwedeng sabihin,” was his mysterious statement. In the meantime Richard invited them to watch out for Kamandag’s explosive finale this week right after Joaquin Bordado during the primetime Telebabad block of GMA.
