READ: Ehra Madrigal opens up about recovering from boat tragedy

It has been a week since Ehra Madrigal figured in a boat accident, and the actress maintains to be positive while on her way to recovery.

The speedboat Ehra together with fellow actress Bianca Manalo and Antique Mayor Jonathan Tan was riding capsized and they found themselves struggling to survive in the middle of the sea for hours. The unfortunate accident has caused Ehra her health and she opened up about it on her Instagram account.

“I’m more than grateful that we survived!!! LORD, thank you so much for this second life! 3 hours in that sea was no joke! My life is forever changed after this tragic accident,” she said.

“Still recuperating at home and taking meds and antibiotics coz I have pneumonia and asthma from drinking seawater and inhaling too much gasoline. I may have some bruises, sunburn and bouts of anxiety attack (everything is totally sinking in now) but my spirit is definitely stronger,” she added.

Despite the incident, Ehra expressed her optimism especially that she was showered with so much love and care from family, friends, and supporters.

She stated, “Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Your messages, prayers, love and concern helps in my healing. Love and light to all!”
