JUST IN: Jasmine Curtis Smith feels it was 'meant to be' to sign with the Kapuso network
The Kapuso network is the right choice for former Kapatid star Jasmine Curtis Smith as she signs a network contract with GMA-7 this Tuesday afternoon, April 17.

Present during the contract signing were GMA Network Chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe L. Gozon, Senior Vice President of the Entertainment Content Group Ms. Lilybeth G. Rasonable, SVP for Alternative Productions Ms. Gigi Santiago-Lara and Vidanes Artist Management head Ms. Betchay Vidanes.
In her interview with the GMA-7 media, Jasmine said that it was perfect timing for her to now be an official Kapuso.
She said, “Surreal I think. But very, very happy for this opportunity that’s been given to me. I think matagal na ‘tong meant to be. Humanap lang kami ng right timing and binigay lang sa amin ni God ‘yung tamang panahon this year.
“So, very excited to see what’s around the corner.”
In addition, she's also looking forward to future TV projects with her new home network.
“Of course, you know iba pa rin naman na you're on TV and you have seryes that people can regularly watch at masuportahan ka nila and to really see you more frequently. Kasi napadalas din naman ako more on films. So this time, we are trying to see kung paano uli kami sa TV.”
Meanwhile, GMA Network Chairman Atty. Felipe Gozon considers Jasmine as an excellent addition to the talented roster of stars under GMA-7.
“I was spellbound by her beauty. Pero sa totoo lang, mahusay na addition sa atin mga artista na magagaling at magaganda itong si Jasmine. So immediately I think we will give her a project.”
Ms. Lilybeth Rasonable also revealed during her interview with GMA-7 media that they were eager to get Jasmine and they actually waited for a long time for her to sign as a Kapuso.
“Matagal I should know (laughs). But yes, we’ve been patient because we really wanted her. So, this is the perfect timing and we hope na she will enjoy her time here in GMA and it will be hopefully a long time.”
