Jaclyn Jose aired her sentiments about her daughter Andi Eigenmann’s big move to Baler. Andi reportedly sold most of her belongings to live a simpler life in Baler.

Jaclyn shared how despite being professional, Andi needs a break from the negative effect of being on the limelight and being criticized on social media. She also clarified that Andi isn’t leaving showbiz.

“I don’t think so. First of all, this is her only bread and butter, let’s see kung hanggang saan siya tatagal and this is really her passion and her commitment is in this industry.”

She added, “But if she gets to choose baka hindi niya na piliin [mag-showbiz] dahil sa sobrang panglalambaste sa kanya ng mga tao, ‘yung talagang nakakalungkot din.”

When asked if this is Andi’s reason for keeping a low-profile nowadays, Jaclyn answered, “Ayun, oo.”

She further explained, “Kahit naman ako, mag-post lang ako may sinasabi na, sa tanda ko na ito, kung baga kahit wala na silang karapatan, walang respeto mga bata ngayon. Hindi ko rin naman alam kung sino ‘yang mga ‘yan.”

“Kahit anong gawin naman talaga namin ‘eh, kahit anong gawin ni Andi mali ‘eh. Wala naman ng ginawang tama si Andi sa netizens ‘eh.”

She also revealed how Andi has tried to pacify her in dealing with their bashers.

“Sabi sa’kin ni Andi, “Nay, ‘wag mo na sagutin, mga trolls ‘yan. The more you answer them back, the more they’re happy.”

“Minsan kasi kapag apo ko na ‘yung dinadamay, talagang lumalaban talaga ako.”

Jaclyn also said that she’s confident that Andi can handle the downfall of being a celebrity.

“Hindi ko na kailangan payuhan ‘yun dahil she grew up with me. She saw everything that I do. She knows how to be professional, she knows how to handle her job well. She’s very good at it.”
