Star-studded line-up from Kapuso Network: Alden Richards banners this year's Kadayawan Festival

GMA Network--through its regional arm GMA Regional TV--is bringing a star-studded line-up of shows for this year's celebration of the Kadayawan Festival. No less than Kapuso Prime Actor and Victor Magtanggol himself Alden Richards headlines the list of celebrities participating in the activities this weekend in Davao.

But before Alden treats his fans, the cast of the newest heart-warming primetime series, Onanay, will first spread love on Saturday (August 18).

New Kapuso star Jo Berry takes center stage during the Kapuso Mall Show happening in Gaisano Mall Toril at 4 p.m. Joining her are Mikee Quintos and Kate Valdez who play Jo's daughters in the series. Rochelle Pangilinan, Vaness Del Moral, and Enrico Cuenca complete the Onanay cast celebrating the Kadayawan festivities.

The intriguing morning drama Kapag Nahati ang Puso is expected to grace the said event as well. Sure to hit up the stage are Kapuso actress Bea Binene, David Licauco and Benjamin Alves.

Taking part in the fun that afternoon is Kapuso lead actress Janine Gutierrez who plays Gwen in Victor Magtanggol.

Prior to the Kapuso Mall Show, the Onanay and Kapag Nahati ang Puso casts are visiting the Matina Aplaya 75-A Gym for a Kapuso Barangayan.

The following day (August 19), locals and tourists alike are sure to line up the streets early as the cast of Victor Magtanggol graces the Pamulak sa Kadayawan Float Parade beginning 7 a.m.

Fresh from the successful launch of Victor Magtanggol, Alden takes a break from his mission of protecting good from evil in the series as he boards the Kapuso Float with his co-stars Andrea Torres, Janine Gutierrez, Pancho Magno, Kristoffer Martin, and Dion Ignacio.

GMA Regional TV makes this year's Kapuso Float Parade Participation extra special as GMA TV 5 Davao airs “2018 Kapuso sa Kadayawan: The One Mindanao Special Live Coverage” from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The TV coverage will be hosted by One Mindanao anchors Tek Ocampo, Sarah Hilomen-Velasco, Real Sorroche, and Senior Correspondent Sheillah Vergara-Rubio. Live updates along the parade route will be reported by correspondents Rgil Relator and Jandi Esteban.

The rest of the Philippines and the world will be able to watch the parade as well starting at 7 a.m. via a live streaming on GMA RTV's newly-launched official website, http://www.gmaregionaltv.com. Other highlights of this year's Kadayawan Festival will also be featured here.

In the afternoon, Alden, Andrea, Pancho, Kristoffer, and Dion are off to SM City Davao to give Dabawenyos a Kapuso Mall Show they will not forget.

The show begins at 4 p.m. with a mini-concert from Asian Nightingale and The Clash judge Lani Misalucha and Mindanao Clashers Charline Fiel, Lyra Micolob, and Chemp Raña.

“GMA Network remains number one nationwide and we owe it to our loyal Kapuso fans who continue to support us and our programs. This is why we prepared for a big celebration of this year's Kadayawan Festival by bringing in the stars of our top-rating shows to Davao,” says GMA's Vice President and Head of Regional TV Oliver Amoroso. “We are also introducing our very own website, www.gmaregionaltv.com, where netizens from all over the country and the world will be able to see firsthand the freshest news, events, and updates about GMA Regional TV,” he ends.
