The votes are cast and the tallies are in. And, not surprisingly enough, two Kapuso stars, Marian Rivera and Katrina Halili emerged on top of the list in FHM Magazine's annual 100 Sexiest Women Poll. Photos by Mitch S. Mauricio.

Both ladies were brimming with happiness from this news. "Nagpapasalamat po ako dun sa mga bumoto sa akin at para sa akin siya po ang number one sa puso ko at sila po yung dahilan kung bakit nandito po ako sa posisyon ko ngayon," said Marian in an interview with Startalk right after she received the call about being voted as the country's sexiest female in a survey by FHM magazine. Katrina also expressed her delight: "Happy talaga ako kahit alin man yung resulta...at tsaka number 2, hindi naman masama 'yun, 'di ba? Importante yung masaya ako na may sumoporta sa amin." Katrina, voted the Number 1 Sexiest Pinay for two consecutive years in 2006 and 2007, declared that it is now Marian's time. She stressed there is absolutely no rivalry going on between them, adding that this was a vote and not a contest. Marian thanked Katrina when she heard that her predecessor was happy for her. This also marks a milestone in the magazine's history, for Marian is actually the first non-cover girl one voted to the top spot. Marian said she is open to posing for the magazine but reiterated that a final decision has yet to be made about this. All that Marian and Katrina are definite about is that they owe everything good that has happened to them to their fans, and of course to those who believed and voted for them.
