'Asawa Ko, Karibal Ko' director Mark Sicat dela Cruz wins in International Film Festival Manhattan

Asawa Ko, Karibal Ko director Mark Sicat dela Cruz was awarded as Best Director in the International Film Festival in Manhattan.


In a lengthy Facebook post, Direk Mark thanked everyone who supported his craft.

“This award is a recognition of the combined efforts of all the people who have helped hone my knowledge and talent in filmmaking.

“My parents and sisters, who are my strength and my foundation. To the staff, crew, and actors of the film who came to the set passionate in their craft.

“To GMA Network for allowing me to learn from the best in the industry.”

“Every workday is an opportunity to learn. Thanks to Ms. Lilybeth Gomez-Rasonable, Redgie Acuna Magno, and Cheryl Ching Sy for the support.

“Thank you so much for sending me to Cinemalaya Institute where I learned even more from the best.”

“To my Program Managers, Redgynn Alba, Camille D. Hermoso, Hazel Abonita, Helen Rose Sese, Dedicatoria N Ayalexi (Ali), Cathy Ochoa, Nini Matilac, Enri Tangon Calaycay, Cecille Rupita de Guzman, Antonio R. Pastorpide, Mildred Natividad for trusting me.
