Newly crowned Mr. Eco Philippines 2018 Robin Hanrath is still in shock after winning the title at the Mr World Philippines coronation night held last Tuesday night, October 23.

The reigning Ginoong Laguna 2018 posted an Instagram Story to express his thoughts after his successful campaign.

Robin said, “I'm sorry everyone if I can't respond right away, I am still in the process of sinking in the reality, but I want to extend my gratitude for the support that you have given me, I truly appreciate it.

In a succeeding post, Robin also addressed the issue about his sexuality.

Robin stressed that he's straight, but this will not stop him from giving his support to the LGBTQ community.

“Okay let me clear this up. I am straight.

“I am only attracted to women, however that does not at all mean that I cannot show my love and support for the LGBTQ community by defending their rights.”

“We all deserve to be treated equally no matter our sexual orientation.”

Just like Robin, there were celebrities who have previously competed in the Ginoong Laguna pageant.

Pambansang Bae Alden Richards took home won the title in 2010, while Ika-5 Utos actor Jeric Gonzales finished second runner-up two years later.
