Biboy's New Look

Sporting a new look featuring long, straight hair, Biboy Ramirez is once again active on television. One of the regular cast members of the high-rating Sine Novela classic, Gaano Kadalas ang Minsan, this young actor admits that his new look has something to do with his career. Text by Loretta G. Mauricio Portraying the role of Eric, Marvin Agustin's best friend in Danny Zialcita's Gaano Kadalas ang Minsan, Biboy Ramirez admits that he is glad to have been included in the show. "Ngayon drama naman, kasi dati puro fantaserye, action-fantasy. Ngayon, wala nang kathang-isip, puro mga katotohanan na dahil 'yung role ko rito, originally, si Ronaldo Valdez ang gumanap sa movie," shares the young actor. Good guy, Bad guy When asked whether his role was good or bad, he paused for a bit and then said "Parehas, kasi good guy ako sa mga kaibigan ko, good guy din ako sa wife ko, pero eventually lumalabas 'yung pagiging bad ko sa asawa ko. Hindi ako 'yung bad guy na kontrabida. Nambababae ako ganun, sugarol," explains Biboy about his character which is quite far from his usual roles in the past. Gone is the boy-next-door look and here comes the long-haired mysterious man who swears he is ready for a more mature role. "Part ng pagbabago, kasi dati 'di ba nag start ako laging clean cut, totoy look, ngayon kailangan ko sigurong itaas 'yung age ko, parang nagma-mature. At saka kasi bago 'yung manager ko, ang gusto nya, bad boy/ rugged look ang packaging ko," says Biboy about his new look. Happy with his look Biboy admits that he is quite happy with the direction his career is going. He says he is ready for mature and different roles. He does not mind being given shady characters just like his part in Carlo J. Caparas' Kamandag. "Oo, like doon sa Kamandag, doon nag start e, kontrabida ako, tapos with this look siguro second time kong gumanap na bad boy." He says that he is excited to have been given a chance by GMA Network to reinvent himself and is thankful that he is once again busy with his career. "Salamat talaga, kasi kung wala namang talagang tiwala, wala nang naniniwala sa akin, wala na rin akong magagawa," shares the young actor who has starred in various GMA shows like Click, Kahit Kailan, Love to Love and Kamandag.
