By Nherz Almo

American Idol alumna Jessica Sanchez looks forward to working with more Filipino music artists as she signed up with a local talent management.

“I'm hoping to collaborate with a lot of artists out here, like Christian Bautista. Just really exploring Philippines more and doing more events out here,” says Jessica during the press conference prepared for her by Stages Talents Agency on Monday, November 5.

She added, “Now that I'm coming back here in the Philippines, I see all these amazing artists--they're belting and showing out their amazing talents. I really want to see that as well.

“But I also kind of want to bring my American flavor as well. I'm very excited to be tapping more into that, RnB, and maybe infusing it with more Tagalog.

“You know, just kind of really exploring and looking into what I can do and challenging myself and kind of messing around, going to studio and playing different sounds.”

Jessica mentioned that she is currently working on a new album, which will be her way to re-introduce herself in the music scene.

The 23-year-old singer said, “I kind of going to a more RnB sound. Through the years, I kind of let people dictate who Jessica Sanchez as an artist. I'm super excited and I hope you guys like it, too.”

Jessica is in the country for her concert at The Theater, Solaire Resort and Casino on Saturday, November 10.

She will also return in December for her concerts in Cebu and Davao.

Jessica said she has no problem going back and forth to the Philippines. In fact, she's hoping to stay longer in 2019.

She reasoned, “I love the food out here and the people are very welcoming.

“I love that you guys backed me up in my whole Idol journey.

“I'm really excited to show you guys the new Jessica Sanchez, the woman has grown up.

“On Idol I was 16, now I'm 23, a young lady.”

Jessica also related, “I do plan on extending my trip here probably next year.

“I do wanna stay here for a longer period of time.

“I think the longest time I stayed here was probably three weeks.

“So, I do wanna stay here for a longer period of time to tap into the culture out here, collaborate with a lot of artists, and just really reinvent myself out here as Jessica Sanchez.”
