LOOK: Why millennial trio JBK turns to busking

By Cherry Sun

Busking or street performing receives polar reactions in the Phillippines yet this didn't stop the Kapuso millennial trio JBK to try it for a worthy cause.

JBK

Over the weekend, Joshua Bulot, Bryan del Rosario and Kim Ordonio, who comprise JBK, did busking for the first time. It was an idea they conceived while they were on tour in London, and that they plan to put in motion as a way to give back this Christmas season.

Joshua related in his Instagram post, “It's our first time to experience busking and it was amazing. We've decided that everything we will get from busking, we will give it to our chosen charity, and that is the @mabuhaydeseret foundation.”

He also spoke of American singer David Archuleta as the inspiration of their charitable deed, saying, “We became more aware that this world is about helping and loving one another in any way you can. We're not rich, but that is not an excuse to help others.”

JBK is also scheduled to busk at the McKinley Venice Grand Canal on December 9, and at the Uptown Bonifacio on December 16 to gather more donations.
