GMA News and Public Affairs wins big at the Gawad Filipino Awards 2018

Several GMA News and Public Affairs programs were recognized at the Gawad Filipino Awards held last December 17, 2018 at the Tanghalang Pasigueno in Pasig City.

Gawad Filipino Awards gave GMA News and Public Affairs a total of eight awards in the Media People's Choice Award category. The winners have been chosen by the selection and awards committee.

Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho took home the Best TV Magazine Show and the Best TV Magazine Show Host for TV for GMA News pillar Jessica Soho. Kapuso host Malou Mangahas received the Best Documentary Program Host of the Year for Investigative Documentaries.

Kapuso network's flagship primetime newscast 24 Oras bagged the Best TV Newscast award. Investigative Documentaries won the Best Documentary Show.

Best Public Service Program of the Year was given to I-Witness while Kapuso morning show Unang Hirit won Best Morning Show of the Year. Radio show Saksi sa Dobol B won Best Radio News Program.

Gawad Filipino Awards recognizes individuals, organizations, and companies as awardees for categories such as: Dangal ng Sambayanang Filipino, Dangal ng Bayang Filipino, Dangal ng Kawal ng Bayan, Dangal ng Husay at Galing and the Media People's Choice Awards.
