Shaira Diaz, David Licauco to star in the first installment of 'One Hugot Away'

Kapuso love team Shaira Diaz and David Licauco feel honored to be chosen as lead actors in the first installment of GMA Public Affairs's short film, One Hugot Away.

GMANetwork.com has interviewed the sought-after love team on Thursday, March 21, during the bloggers conference of said short film.

Shaira said, "Kinilig ako and happy ako kasi ang ganda nung mga shot. Do'n sa teaser pa lang, ang ganda ng kinalabasan and ang galing ng diretor namin, si Direk Zig Dulay.”

She added, "It's an honor na kami 'yung mag-lalaunch ng show na One Hugot Away, so sana magustuhan nila para masundan pa tsaka para magka-part two kasi maganda talaga 'yung story."

For his part, David said, "I'm just really happy and thankful to GMA Public Affairs for giving me this role. It's their very first kind of platform."

This Monday, March 25, witness Shaira and David give life to the characters of Ella and Ben in the episode titled “Walang Label.”

The story revolves between the relationship of two sales agents, who became more than friends that turned out to be complicated because one doesn't want to put a label on their relationship.

David recounted an event where he related his personal experience to the story of "Walang Label."

"May pinaasa ako and meron ding napaasa ako. Feel ko naman nangyayari lang 'yan kung hindi masyadong gusto ng one party.

"Honestly, 'di ako naniniwala sa 'hindi pa ready' kasi if its the right one, it's the right one," he stressed.

Meanwhile, Shaira boasted that many viewers can relate to the story of Ella and Ben because of their quotable hugot lines.

She shared, "Maganda siya, maraming makaka-relate kahit maiksi lang siya. Gugustuhin mo na masundan."

She also noted, "Marami akong hugot lines, 'yung tipong nakikita mo sa posts sa social media."

The first part of One Hugot Away's “Walang Label” will be shown between the commercial gaps of Kapuso Movie Festival, Wowowin, and My Golden Life this Monday, March 25.

On the other hand, the continuation will be shown on March 28 during the time slot of My Golden Life to know what will be the ending of Ella and Ben's story.

Netizens can watch the full version on March 29 at 12 noon at GMA Network's official YouTube channel and Facebook page.

“Walang Label” is written by James Estrada and is directed by award-wining filmmaker Zig Dulay.
