EXCLUSIVE: Alden Richards welcomes the challenges posed by new movie role

Alden Richards stepped out of his comfort zone when he accepted the film project offered to him by Star Cinema. In this much talked-about project, he will be sharing screen time with Kapamilya actress Kathryn Bernardo.

An actor who is not afraid to take risks, Alden gladly welcomes the new challenges that he will be facing in his upcoming project.

In an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, the Kapuso actor admits that he aims to step out of his comfort zone with every role that he takes on.

"It's gonna be my ninth year in the business. Ako kasi medyo marami na akong nagawa, medyo marami nang na-experience. Most of the time I reflect on myself, iniisip ko I'm too comfortable every day, wala nang challenge.

"We are actors and we make sure that, from an actor's point of view, we make our roles different every time."

Alden also shares a piece of advice for those who are afraid of trying new things and making their own leap of faith.

"For further growth and knowledge, I encourage everyone to not be comfortable. If you've been doing something for the longest time, seek something new, make something new out of it.

"Kasi 'pag puro ganoon, doon ka na lang sa comfort zone mo, anything outside of that, you don't want to do.

"So iyon 'yung challenges na I really consider in life for growth kasi every day you should learn something new. Be a risk-taker," he explains.

Filming for Alden's upcoming movie starts this April.
