A Vengeful Beetle

If one can posses powers beyond the ability of mere mortals, Polo Ravales' super-human abilities in Gagambino would be handy indeed – Text by Erick Mataverde. Photos by Mitch S. Muricio and GMA Network As one of the controversial young actors today, Polo may find the tough carapace of the beetle-like powers he would be acquiring in his current starrer, Gagambino, quite useful. When we asked him to describe his role in the show he was his usual forthright self. "Ako si Harold dito, tapos mayor ako ng isang province, mag-pinsan kami ni Dennis [Trillo] , kami yung magkaaway talaga." He continues, "Ang character ko, eventually, magiging magkaaway kami ni Bino dito." From what information that iGMA.tv has on the show, Polo, as Harold, and his sister would be two of those who would accompany Bino, the character played by Dennis, into the myth-laden land of Tierra Higanta. During this quest, they will be acquire the powers of legendary creatures. However, in the process; they would also meet misfortune, prompting Harold to become one of Bino's sworn enemies. Polo's powers allow him to fly, destroy walls with ease and become bullet-proof. Polo is, of course, is excited about this new project of his and invites everyone to share in his excitement. "Sana suportahan nila ang Gagambino, we promise na papagandahin namin yung show, kaya panoorin po ninyo ito," he states. Speaking of Polo's projects, he also volunteers some information about an indie film that he is also happy about. "May ginawa akong movie, kakatapos ko lang gumawa ng movie ni Joel Lamangan yung Walang Kawala, kasama ko si Joseph Bitangcol," he reveals which he admits is a challenging role he is most proud of.
