READ: Winwyn Marquez dispels relationship rumors with Alden Richards
"We're good friends."
That's the answer of Dahil sa Pag-ibig star Winwyn Marquez when asked if the rumors are true if she and Alden are currently in a relationship.
The former Primera Filipina Reina Hispanoamericano cleared the air once and for all during the media conference of the upcoming GMA Afternoon Prime series last Wednesday, May 15.
Winwyn admitted that she knew the rumors started during the opening of the Pambansang Bae's fast food branch in Binan, Laguna, last April 26.
During the said opening, Winwyn was part of the close knit celebrity friends that Alden invited.
"Alam kong nag-start 'yun sa opening ng McDonalds.
"Siguro nabigyan lang ng meaning na magkatabi kami.
“Parang, bakit? Nabigyan lang talaga nila ng malisya.
"E, si Alden naman, kaibigan ko naman ever since.
“'Yung teleserye niya na One True Love, nandoon kasi ako."

At one point, she laughed at the idea that she would be linked to Alden given the fact that the Pambansang Bae is busy with his back-to-back projects.
“My gosh, isa na rin ako sa na-link kay Alden. Nakakatawa.
“Matagal na kaming magkaibigan ni Alden at alam naman ng lahat na mabait si Alden.
"Sweet siya sa lahat. Natatawa lang talaga ako.
"Si Alden din, I don't think he's ready for something like that. Busy din siya, 'di ba?"
As for Winwyn, is she ready for a relationship?
“Hindi rin ako ready," she replied.
“I'm enjoying yung single moment ko. Kasi, ngayon lang din ako naging single talaga.
She even jokingly added, "Happy na ako sa BTS. Haha!"
