EXCLUSIVE: Mcoy Fundales gears up for his new single as he signs contract with AltG Records

Former Orange and Lemons singer and Pepito Manaloto writer Mcoy Fundales is ready to be heard once again!

In his contract signing with AltG Records, the writer and producer shares with GMANetwork.com his journey back to the music industry.

“My last album, in full length, was 2010 pa ata. So it's been almost 9 years na.

“I'm happy and excited kasi almost five to six years ako nagsusulat sa TV.

“Eh, tuloy ang tawag ng musika so I decided to answer back and officially mag-record ng bagong single.

“And palagay ko I'll be doing this again kasi feel ko na ulit.

The former Orange and Lemons singer added that what he misses the most is singing in front of a huge crowd - a thing he hasn't done since the group parted ways in 2007 due to musical differences.

“I miss singing in front of a crowd. And now, I'm doing this not because I have to, I'm doing this because I love it and I love to.

“'Di katulad dati naging trabaho talaga pagkanta eh. So it became a daily work and a job. Parang nawala 'yung sarap.

“At least ngayon sabi nila, kanta ka lang. Pag may nasulat kang kanta, i-record mo. Pag may gusto kang i-interpret, sige i-record mo.”

Now that he's officially back in the radar, what can we expect from Mcoy? A single that is bound to debut this May 31st.

“I have a new single. It's called 'Bakit Kita Hahabulin?' It's a single written by Kian Dionisio a very promising songwriter.

“Ang ganda ng kanta and it's witty. Ano to eh, modern kundiman.

“It's a Filipino love song na dinaya 'yung kanta. You can hear the emotion in the lyrics na nagpapakatatag siya. But in truth, may sakit eh.

“And I tried listening sa radio recently before I recorded the song. And wala akong narinig na ganitong song.

“I guess tama lang na ilabas 'yung song ngayon as another option for listeners.”
