Thai star Urassaya Sperbund, nagpasalamat sa mainit na pagsalubong ng mga Pinoy

First time man sa Pilipinas, napamahal agad sa bansa ang Thai superstar na si Urassaya Sperbund.

Si Urassaya o Yaya ang bagong mukha ng Tourism Authority of Thailand para sa “Open to the New Shades” campaign.

Kuwento ni Yaya sa 24 Oras, napagkakamalan pa nga raw siyang Pinay noon kaya ramdam niyang konektado siya sa Pilipinas. “When I was younger, anywhere I'd go, people would come towards me and speak in Tagalog, because they always thought I was also Filipino. I felt a connection with the Filipinos since I was younger and I'm very happy to be here.”

Grateful din raw si Yaya sa pagsupporta ng mga Pinoy fans sa kaniyang mga Thai dramas tulad ng The Crown Princess, Switch, at Waves of Life, na umere sa GMA Network.

Dagdag ni Yaya, gusto niya raw makapunta ng Cebu at Palawan kung may pagkakataon, at makakain ng Haluhalo kasama ang kaniyang boyfriend at The Crown Princess leading man na si Nadech Kugimiya.

“Definitely when there's time, we will come we've been wanting to [visit] Cebu and the beaches here for a long time.”

Hanga rin daw siya sa mga beauty queens mula sa Pilipinas tulad nina Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach at Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray. Ano kaya ang reaction niya sa mga nagsasabing may hawig siya kay Catriona?

“Thank you very much, that is a huge compliment, like [what] I said they're not just gorgeous women they're also intelligent and they embrace women empowerment very well.”

Kung mabibigyan ng pagkakaton, open daw si Yaya na magkaroon ng proyekto sa Pilipinas at magkaroon ng mga bagong experiences sa bansa. “Please don't hesitate to contact us. I'd love to, I'm all about widening my experiences.”
