During the grand media conference of Family History, Mic Test Entertainment Executive Producer Carol Bunagan tells GMANetwork.com that she was immensely impressed by the performance of her husband in portraying the lead character Alex Dela Cruz.

Carol explained, “Yung work attitude wise it's pretty much the same person I knew all my life, pero yung lalim niya as an actor, medyo nag-shine ng husto dito sa pelikula na parang ang lalim. Grabe ang hugot!

“Kung gaano 'yung kaya ka niya kalakas na patawanin, I just saw his capability to make you cry rivers.”

Meanwhile, Michael V.'s co-stars in the movie see him winning an award for wearing many hats in this project.

According to Miguel Tanfelix, who plays his son Malix in the movie, Direk Bitoy is such a 'creative force' in this movie.

“Sobrang creative niya, sobrang unique siya magtrabaho kaya why not na magka-award.”

Comedienne/singer Kakai Bautista agrees with Miguel that this body of work of Michael V. has a strong chance of bagging several recognitions in the future.

She also shared what it's like working with the Kapuso comedy genius as a director.

Kakai said, “I think ang laki ng potensyal niya na he will win, the story will win and his directing. Kasi ang steady ni Kuya Bitoy na mag-direk. Sobrang steady lang kaming lahat at hindi kami napi-pressure.

“Binigyan niya kami ng freedom to do whatever na kaya namin gawin o ma-add na color sa character pero at the same time ginuide din niya kami on how he wants it to be portrayed. So collaborative si Kuya Bitoy,”

Meanwhile, Vince Gamad observes that winning an award is not the top priority of Michael V., but his main goal is to inspire moviegoers through this film.

“From the brief time na nakatrabaho ko si Direk Bitoy, I don't think 'yung awards din 'yung nasa isip niya. Even though 'yung effort, 'yung dedication, 'yung work ethic na ginugol niya 'tsaka ng buong team is deserving of an award. That's not the goal, the goal is to inspire, to send the message of Family History.”

Don't miss the directorial debut of the Kapuso Comedy genius Michael V. in Family History, showing in cinemas nationwide starting July 24.
