EXCLUSIVE: Ana de Leon feels blessed to work with Derek Ramsay and Andrea Torres in 'The Better Woman'

Kapuso actress Ana de Leon renewed her contract yesterday, July 2nd.

In an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, the chinita beauty shared how she feels really blessed to be part of the newest primetime series The Better Woman.

“It was really overwhelming,” she said.

“As everyone knows Derek Ramsay also transferred in GMA [this year].

“So for me, it's a big opportunity na, I also transferred now lang and got to work with him and Andrea [Torres] agad.”

Ana also mentioned fangirling over the idea of working with acclaimed actress Jaclyn Jose, who plays Erlinda Santos, in the series.

“Yes! She's there! I'm excited. But as of the moment wala pa po [akong scenes with her].

“'Yung last taping ko is with Andrea Torres pa lang kasi my role is Nancy, her best friend.

“'Yung bestfriend po ni Jasmine, yung good na twin.”

As she inked her contract, Ana couldn't help but think of the possibilities ahead.

For one, she dreams of starring as a strong female lead in an action-packed series.

“Para maiba po, siguro 'yung tipong mala-action role” she explained.

“Kasi, I was a former cheer dancer sa La Salle, so parang it would fit me. It's something physical, extreme, and challenging po.

“'Di naman lahat kaya kasi kailangan mong mag-training, work hard for it, go to the gym, and prepare for the character talaga.

“And of course, empowering women din at a time na kailangan ng maraming strong female roles on-screen.”
