World Class Kababayan is now on GMA News TV

The program that showcases Filipino success stories from here and overseas will now be seen on GMA News TV. It is called WORLD CLASS KABABAYAN. Formerly called BUHAY OFW (from TV5), the program's thrust has remained steady and unwavering after 9 years of airing on TV.

The show is hosted by Ms. Marissa del Mar. She was a movie actress and a sought-after leading lady in the 80s, and after her stint in showbiz, she used her influence in media to champion the Filipino overseas workers whom she fondly call now as WORLD CLASS KABABAYAN or simply "ka-World Class." She is currently involved in various civic projects in and out of the country.

As the program moves to the Kapuso network, Marissa will be joined by her daughter Princess Adriano, a fresh-faced millennial travel enthusiast who is making her debut into the world of Philippine entertainment. Armed with her charming looks as well as her own take on youth community involvement, she breaks her own ground on the show.

WORLD CLASS KABABAYAN embodies all that we should know about: local culture, Pinoy achievers, government updates, showbiz features, and millennial travel adventures -- all rolled into one hour of weekly infotainment for the whole family.

WORLD CLASS KABABAYAN will have its pilot episode on July 27, 2019. It will air every Saturday, 5:30-6:30pm on GMA News TV.
