President Rodrigo Duterte's youngest daughter, Veronica “Kitty” Duterte recently sat down with her friend and vlogger Kyra Valentin to dish out a few facts about her -- from how she got her name “Kitty” to her skincare routine.

One common question the youngest Duterte gets asked the most is why she was named “Kitty.”

She explained that it wasn't inspired by a cat but rather a shortened term of the word “kiti-kiti” --- the Filipino term for mosquito larvae.

Her parents eventually gave her the name because “nung bata raw ako, super likot ko daw... and na-annoy sila to the point na tinawag nila akong 'Kitty.'”

Despite her wit and sense of humor, Kitty says that she doesn't have plans to enter the showbiz industry. But given the chance, she'd accept a kontrabida role in a heartbeat.

She also has a piece of advice for anyone who's dealing with negativity or hate in their day-to-day life.

“Wala ka naman talagang magagawa kung ganun sila,” the 15-year-old answered.

“Akin lang talaga, focus on the things that are more important in your life, like the things you value.

“Iniisip ko, ano bang ginawa nila para sa akin para bigyan ko sila ng attention? Wala.

“Kaya mas better kung i-focus ko sa mga tao na importante sa akin at may nagawang mabuti para sa akin.”
