Francine Prieto, may surprise this year!

In Ang Babaeng Hinugot sa Aking Tadyang, Francine plays Shiela, the girlfriend of Paolo Contis (Rado). She is ruthless, hopelessly in love, at ipaglalaban ang kanyang minamahal kahit hanggang kamatayan.
“Sobrang mahal na mahal ko si [Rado] talaga, so ang character ko dito, talagang matapang,” kuwento ni Francine. “At saka ngayon, challenging naman. Kung last year, medyo relaxed [ang] roles ko, ngayon naman mabigat, at saka excited ako kasi ngayon ko lang makakasama si Bb. Joyce Bernal.” Shiela and Rado are part of a syndicate group, and Rado, the main villain, is in love with Proserfina, played by Marian Rivera. “Mga drug dealer yata kami dito,” Francine explains. “Si Marian, kasama din doon, yun yung past niya.” Francine will still be part of Bubble Gang this year, but she announces to us that there’s a bigger project she’s excited about. “Gusto kong mag-diversify this year -- mayroon akong naiisip, pina-plano pa lang, so may kakausapin pa lang akong tao,” she imparts mysteriously. Ano yun, Francine? “Basta, secret! Basta, titingnan ko muna kung magwo-work yung gusto kong mangyari. Siguro something na masho-shock siguro yung mga people! Hindi nila iisipin na gagawin ko! Hidden talent!” Dagdag pa niya, “Sana matuloy yung project. Kasi ngayon, sabi ko, gusto kong maging positive sa lahat. Hindi ninyo pa ako nakikita sa ganito. Kailangan i-career talaga!”
To kick start her optimism this year, nagpa-Feng Shui si Francine during the holiday season. “Noong holidays, pinaayos [ko] yung bahay, pina-Feng Shui namin. Alam mo, ang dami kong na-discover sa akin! ‘Yung main door pala namin, katapat ng gate, so parang lahat ng kinikita ko sa work, nawawala, so pinasara namin, mga ganoon. Tapos pinapalitan na rin namin yung loob,” kuwento ng aktres. Francine sees nothing wrong in believing in Feng Shui, and she says that if it works for you, go ahead and do it. “Naniniwala ako sa hula, Feng Shui, etc. Wala namang masama. Try mo lang. Actually, effective naman sa akin. Okay naman siya, so tinutuluy-tuloy ko lang.” This year, she also wants to continue losing weight. “Basta tuluy-tuloy pa rin pagpapapayat ko! Sabi ko nga, goal ko, Pepe Smith! Hahahaha! Ganoon katindi!” she jokes. Francine has also been selling her excess stuff, like designer bags and gadgets. It’s her way of starting the year anew and getting rid of things she doesn’t really need. What about her love life? Ano naman plano niya dito for 2009? “Love life?
