International model-turned-actor Gil Cuerva is gearing up for his big project with GMA-7 as he is set to play the role of Vin Ocampo in the drama-action series Beautiful Justice.

Gil's character will be part of the love triangle with Brie and Lance, who will be portrayed by global endorser Gabbi Garcia and Derrick Monasterio, respectively.

During the grand media conference of Beautiful Justice last night at Le Rêve Pool Party Venue and Events Place in Quezon City, Gil talked about his role in this highly-anticipated Telebabad soap.

“So I play the role of Vin Ocampo, isa siyang PDEA agent siya, 'yung partner ni Lance Decena who will be played by Derrick Monasterio as a PDEA agent, who goes to an operation but does not come back from the operation.

“So, essentially ang mangyayari after that whole incident happened, magchi-change 'yung mundo ko like the way I think, 'yung pag-iisip ko, because you know I'm kinda cynical of what's happening in the world.”

GMANetwork.com directly asked Gil if he is worried about the possibility of being compared with his equally-good looking co-star Derrick Monasterio.

The model-actor immediately answered that he is not thinking about it and that he wants to focus on making sure that Kapuso viewers will remember Vin Ocampo even after the series has ended.

Gil explained, “It's not really something I think about. I'm not trying to compete.

“I'm just really more concerned about my character and my character arc. And his character development and how he changes throughout the show.

“For me, gusto ko talaga when they remember Vin Ocampo they will remember how Vin Ocampo from the start was different from Vin Ocampo in the end yan 'yung gusto ko maging impact sa audience and sa viewers.”

Beautiful Justice will premiere on GMA Telebabad on September 9.
