When people hear "South Korea," the first thing that comes to mind is K-pop, K-drama, or skincare.

But for food enthusiasts, South Korea, specifically Myeong-dong, is a place for a gastronomical adventure.

We've listed down five must-try street foods in South Korea that you can eat while in Myeong-dong or bring as pasalubong back home.

1. Soondae

Soondae is a type of blood sausage in Korean cuisine. Soondae, or Sundae, is made of cow or pig's intestines, stuffed with pigs blood and noodles or rice.

2. Grilled Octopus with Pork Belly

If you want some spicy food, try the Grilled Octopus with Pork Belly. To complement the grill, it also uses food torch to cook the octopus and pork belly.

3. Roast Lobster with Cheese

Dubbed as the most expensive Korean street food, Roast Lobster with Cheese is known for its smoky flavor because of the food torch to cook the lobster.

16000 String Dragon Beard Candy is good for pasalubong as it can be stored up to three months in the refrigerator. It comes in two variants: chocolate and peanut butter.

5. Korean Egg Toast

If you have time, try the famous Korean Egg Toast of Isaac Toast in Myeongdong. Lining up can sometimes take an hour but, the good thing is, you can find their other stores elsewhere.
