Super Tekla showcases comedic prowess in Backyard Productions's 'Kiko En Lala'

GMA Breakout Comedian Super Tekla is all set for his big-screen debut in the much-awaited film "Kiko En Lala" set to hit the theaters this September 25.

Produced by Backyard Productions, Super Tekla plays a challenging dual role as the conjoined twins Kiko and Lala. Kiko is the tough masculine twin, while Lala is an outspoken and witty gay twin.

Because of their condition, the inseparable twins were transported to the carnival known as 'Kambal Karnibal.'

In spite of their differences, Kiko and Lala contentedly live their lives in each other's close-knit company. Problem ensues when the twins wish to be separated from one another but there's a catch - only one body can exist and adrift two souls must fight over it.

In hopes of scoring a chance to be with their romantic interests the then inseparable twins now battle over who is more deserving of the body. Is it Kiko who dreams of marrying the beautiful and non-superficial Aning portrayed by sought-after Kapuso actress Kim Domingo or Lala who fantasizes over down-to-earth merman Rap played by Kapuso hunk actor Derrick Monasterio?

Joining the talented cast are Tetay as the cunning fortune teller Wagas, Lala's rival over Rap; Kiray Celis as Dalisay, Wagas gullible minion; Jo Berry as Tadahana, Wagas's sister and an unusual clairvoyant who uses her sense of smell to communicate with spirits; and Vangie Labalan as Mama San, the kindhearted woman who owns the carnival.

Playing a very special role in the film is Comedy Concert Quee Aiai Delas Alas. She breathes into life Deadline whose job is to escort humans souls at the end of their journey. She also serves as the mediator between Kiko en Lala.

Kiko en Lala is under the helm of multi-awarded director Adolf Alix, Jr.
