Turning serious she explains further, "But we [do] also look forward to have a girl there [sa show namin], kasi parang ['pag] may babae 'dun na maganda, na medyo prim and proper, siya ang nagne-neutralize dun sa [mainit na discussion]. Pero ayaw naman namin [na] basta lang kung sino ang ilagay, kailangan talaga, ka-[sundo] namin at ng staff. Kaya we got Ricky kasi [he's] the most credible writer talaga." Family and teamwork At ano kaya ang dahilan sa tuluy-tuloy na success ng Startalk? Lolit shares her view, "Ang buhay naman [ng talk show] 'dun sa mga topics at sa nangyayari. Ang talk show talaga [thrives] lang sa nangyayari sa paligid, siyempre 'yung support din ng [mga tao]. They like it. [At] saka naging additional pa 'yung nagkaroon tayo ng GMA Films. Kahit papaano merong show that can help [promote] the movie." As Startalk is still going strong after 13 years of giving the latest in showbiz, Manay Lolit reveals its secret with a simple metaphor. "Sabi nga namin, 'Alam mo kung may inalagaan tayong bata, by now 13 years old na 'yung bata, di ba?' Talagang parang family [kami]; iba 'yung samahan, team effort talaga."
