JUST IN: Kapuso shows and personalities win big at the 2019 Comguild Media Awards

GMA Network received major awards during this year's Comguild Media Awards held today, September 29, at the Henry Lee Irwin Theater at the Ateneo de Manila University.

Several Kapuso personalities and shows were recognized, including Papa Dudut of Barangay LS 97.1 for Best FM Radio DJ, Sandra Aguinaldo for Best Female Field Reporter, Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho for Best Magazine Program, Day Off for Best Lifestyle Program.

Asia's Multimedia Star Alden Richards also received the Most Popular Television Personality of the Year award.

The awarding ceremony was chaired by Dean Mary Acel German of the College of Arts and Letters of the University of Makati, together with 72 members of the Board of Judges composed of college deans, chairpersons, and other members of the academe from different universities all over the Philippines.

The Comguild Media Awards is an annual award-giving body that recognizes the significant contribution of broadcast and journalism professionals. The said results were based on the votes of the Board of Judges.
