With Celestina choosing to join the side of the ancestral Engkantos, paano nila tatalunin ni Luna ang evil forces?
"I can imagine how great it's gonna be." This was during the pictorial of the soap, kung saan naman makikita na agad kung gaano ka-bongga ang gustong gawin ng GMA for their last offering for 2008. At noon pa lang, Heart already had a inkling of how tough the soap was bound to be given that she portrays two characters: Luna and Celestina. "I'm gonna say na parang I'm really scared because madugo 'yung soap namin. Magiging madugo talaga because of the prosthetics and everything!" There have been comments that Luna Mystika reads a lot like Twilight and The Host, two popular novels by Stephenie Meyer. The actress comments, "The thing is, we’re not trying to copy that. It’s different. We’ve never come up with a concept of Beast and Belle [from Beauty and the Beast] having a kid, or [the relationship of] Peter Pan and his shadow! We never focused on that, kung bakit ba sila nag-aaway. Kasi 'di ba si Peter Pan at 'yung shadow niya, lagi silang nag-aaway? We’ve never had anything like that before. We’ve had twins, one is bad, one is good, but they’re both human beings. We never focus on mga engkantos [which why it's a totally new concept to look forward to]." At napatunayan naman ng show that it is completely original based on how it was treated by the staff and the writers. "Isa siyang fantasy [and] love story about folklores and the Philippine mythology, pero hindi natin siya gagawing dark. Isa siyang makulay [na show]," says Rams David, Program Unit Manager of the series. Back in December 29, 2008, iGMA received this comment from geoff0156: "Luna Mystika, is such a wonderful [telefantasya]... Congrats to the men and women behind this series [for] making it surely [an] undeniable hit in prime time block now. Luna Mystika rules." From the get-go, iba na talaga ang naging dating ng Luna Mystika. Maintaining it's high ratings week after week, it was able to stay true sa kanilang conflict between two sisters who must share one body. Well, they don't share bodies anymore, pero nandiyan pa rin 'yung threat that one of them will become a shadow forever. The conflict has always been which one will become the shadow. Dahil nga, as traditional Filipino stories go, isa lang ang pwedeng maging bida.
Sa finale week ng show, Luna and Celestina already know na silang dalawa, -- together -- lang din ang makakapagpabalik sa mga masasamang Ninuno sa kanilang pagkakakulong. But with Celestina angry at the death of Andoy (Luis Alandy), further goaded by one of the Ancestors into thinking that Luna is to blame, paano pa nga ba magkakaroon ng happily-ever-after ang kambal? Kaya ba nilang dalawa na magkaroon ng happily-ever-after? Or will one of them have to give way sa kaligayahan ng isa, para sa ikabubuti ng lahat? And with so much more story potential left, may chance ba that Luna Mystika will live again? Sabi nga ni Direk Mike Tuviera, "There are so many more stories to tell, I'm sure depende 'yun sa audience. Of course, we're very happy and proud that we're the number one show right now. But it all depends on the audience, if the audience wants to see more, wants to hear more. Ang dami pang kuwento diyan." Ibig sabihin, abangan na lang natin. Alamin ang magiging conclusion ng istorya nina Luna, Celestina, ng kanilang pamilya at mga kaibigan. Ngayong linggo na, gabi-gabi sa GMA Telebabad, pagkatapos ng 24 Oras.
