Chanda Romero, having a picnic in the set of 'Luna Mystika'

Si Chanda Romero ay kilala ngayon bilang matriarch ng pamilya Sagrado sa "Luna Mystika." Alamin mula sa award-winning actress ang kanyang experience as part of the highly rated prime time show.
She is Benita, ang maybahay ni Joaquin (portrayed by Dante Rivero) sa Luna Mystika, and you can consider her as one of the pillars that holds the Sagrado family together. iGMA.tv got to visit Ms. Chanda Romero in the forested set of the show and found her in her acting element. When we asked her kung may ma di-disclose siya sa plot, considering na malapit na matapos ang fantaserye na ito, sagot niya, "Pati ako maso-sorpresa sa mangyayari. But for now nare-reveal na kung sino ‘yung mga engkanto at sino [ang] hindi. Now it's more exciting because things are happening to the Sagrado family. Now, she (Heart’s character) knows what she is and at the same time she'll have to make a choice. Nagco-converge na nga lahat-lahat ng cast -- the whole 24 names sabay-sabay na." The veteran actress further explained that in order to be effective in her role, it is just fitting to be surprised as well on how the plot will progress. "As an actor pag nalaman mo na [yung plot], kahit na gaano ka kagaling, because its already there at the back of your mind, maa-affect yung performance mo. It may preempt whatever should be a surprise so I don't think they (the writers and crew) want to gamble. I go day-to-day here, hand-to-mouth, okey lang," she says. And how is it being kept busy from her recent roles in Impostora, Dyesebel, and now Luna Mystika?
"Since 2001, I've really been working for GMA. 'Yung mga writers we go back a long way. The staff here, mga PA (Production Assistant) pa lang noon, mga EP (Executive Producer) na ngayon so it’s really the same people. There's nothing difficult about getting along with people here, kasi they're just so nice and easy. Look, we just keep laughing, [it’s] so laid back. This makes us excited to come to work, kasi it becomes like a picnic. I noticed in this set, instead of preparing [for the scenes], it's 'Hay naku, what food am I gonna bring tommorrow?' It's just one whole picnic!" In closing we mentioned the consistently high ratings that the show received and the touted portrayal of Heart Evangelista and Mark Anthony Fernandez.
