LOOK: Jeric Gonzales humbled after winning at the 33rd PMPC Star Awards

Magkaagaw star Jeric Gonzales is in the state of cloud nine as he recently received a huge award at last night's 33rd Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) Star Awards for Television.

Held at the Henry Lee Irwin Theater, the Kapuso actor went home with the Best Single Performance by an Actor award for his portrayal in Magpakailanman's episode titled “Sex Slave.”

In the said episode (aired last April 27), Jeric played the role of Jim an OFW based in Saudi Arabia who becomes a sex slave in order to fend his family.

On Instagram, the actor said he felt humbled to be given the recognition.

“Una sa lahat Lord God iba ka maraming salamat Lord sa pagkakataon na to na maging instrumento mo para makapag bahagi ng kuwento ng buhay ng tao.

“Hindi ko hiningi lahat to pero binigay mo kaya salamat the best ka.

“Maraming Salamat PMPC star awards sa parangal na ito.

“Hindi nyo alam kung gaano ka importante sa akin ito dahil for the past 6 years ko dito sa showbiz i've been totally shaken sa mga pagsubok na dumating sa akin.

“Pero ito, sa tulong ni Lord at sa mga taong naniniwala sa akin, nandito pa rin ako patuloy na binubuo mga pangarap ko.

“Maraming salamat dahil lalu nyo ko na-inspire at na-remind na patuloy ko pang pagbutihan at galingan ang larangan na ginagalawan ko kaya maraming salamat po makakaasa kayo na mas lalu ko pang huhusayan ang bawat trabaho na gagawin ko.”

Fans and a few Kapuso celebrities chimed in on Jeric's celebration.
