No less than the Prime time King Richard Gutierrez can give the justice to the role of Zorro at hindi maikakaila na siya ay handa na upang maging susunod na caped crusader ng mga Filipinos. Ito ang seventh collaboration ni Richard with GMA after Mulawin, Sugo, Captain Barbell, Lupin, Kamandag, and Codename: Asero. The story of Zorro chronicles the exploits of a skilled horseman/fighter na siyang magtatanggol sa mga mahihirap at naapi. In preparation for his role, Richard and the A-list cast of the show underwent training in horseback riding and fencing under the tutelage of only the best teachers and mentors, including the coach of the Philippine Fencing Team, Benny Garcia. Aside from this, ipinagmamalaki din ng Zorro ang picturesque and Spanish-inspired location sa Bagac, Bataan, topnotch production design by Rodell Cruz, exceptional visual effects by Riot Inc., at mga bonggang-bongga na costumes na ginawa ni Bill Gustillo. Leo Abaya, ang consultant for design at si Prof. Dez Bautista, ang consultant for historical accuracy also joined the team. "I think a lot of people are excited to see the Pinoy Zorro," pahayag ni Direk Dominic Zapata, ang isa sa mga batikang director ng Zorro. "And with the expectations this high, we want to make sure that we won't disappoint and I don't think we will. I've seen the material, I've seen the product. It will not disappoint. Everyone is putting in 150% every time we tape." "I want this to be based in history pero kapag pinanood ng bata, they will not be bored. Kasi kapag pinanood mo hindi mo, mararamdaman na Noli Me Tangere-ish. Kapag pinanood mo siya, para siyang Antonio Banderas' Zorro set in a Filipino setting, 'yun ang habol namin," ang dagdag naman ni Direk Mark Reyes.
