Claudine Barretto has denied the allegations pertaining to her as the one who started the fight during their father's wake.

In a phone interview with Nelson Canlas, Claudine tried to clear her name surrounding the dispute between her and sisters Gretchen and Marjorie.

In reference to the fight that was witnessed by President Rodrigo Duterte, Barretto said, “Ako nagsimula ng gulo?

“First of all, hinding-hindi ko magagawa 'yun sa harap ng Presidente o kahit sino mang mas nakakatanda na nirerespeto ko.”

According to the actress, Duterte urged the three to make peace however Marjorie refused the request.

“So sabi ni Marjorie, 'Ako? Ako po? Magmamano sa kanya?'”

“Sabi niya, 'Hindi niyo ho alam kung anong ginagawa niyan sa akin at sa mga anak ko,' sabi niya.

“So sabi ni Gretchen, 'Eh 'di ako na lang po bilang nakakatandang kapatid.'”

She continued to defend her eldest sister by saying she showed humility and “gave way” even though she was the big sister.

“Nag-give way talaga 'yung ate ko. With all humility, alam mong napakahirap gawin 'yun ha. Ikaw ang ate, ikaw ang magpapaubaya.”

Additionally, the actress said that Marjorie's actions were unbelievable given the fact that they were in the presence of the highest authority of the state.

“Sabi ko, 'Huwag sa harapan ng Presidente, Marjorie.' Sabi ko, 'You're unbelievable,'

“Ganito ang boses ko, ha. Hindi ako sumisigaw.

“She was hysterical already and sa Presidente? Hindi mo nga kayang mapagbigyan ang hiling ng Presidente, mag-a-'I love you' ka sa Presidente, ano ba yun?” she added.

Furthermore, Claudine also aired her suspicions with her sister's narration of events.

“'Dun sa kuwento niya, maraming kulang or dagdag.

“Pakiramdam ko, dagdag-bawas 'yung pananakit nila sa akin, physically.”

With the feud going on, the actress told Nelson that she was having a hard time accepting her dad's passing.

“Dahil sa gulong 'to, hindi pa nagsi-sink in 'yung pagkawala ng tatay ko.

“Hindi ko alam kung dahil sa gulong 'to o dahil ayoko pang i-accept. Hindi ako okay, kasi alam kong hindi okay ang daddy ko, hindi siya masaya sa mga pangyayaring ito.”
