Glaiza De Castro bagged the Best Film Actress award for her outstanding performance in her titular independent film Liway at the recently concluded Trinity University of Asia's 5th Platinum Stallion Media Awards held at University Theater, Trinity University of Asia, on November 20, 2019.

Liway, directed by Kip Oebanda, is a 2018 indie film about the true experiences of a mother raising her child as normal as possible in a makeshift prison camp for dissidents during Martial Law. Using stories and songs, she tries to find joy even in their difficult life.

Platinum Stallion Media Awards is a national media award-giving body that merits the continuing efforts of individuals and groups in educating the public through media and allied arts.

Glaiza De Castro's Liway stint was also acclaimed by Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences Awards (Famas) as it was nominated as an Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in 2019. She also received nominations as Best Actress in Gawad Urian Awards 2019 and Movie Actress of the Year in Star Awards for Movies 2019.
