In the midst of the turmoil at iba't-ibang emosyon na nararamdaman ni Nicole Gonzales sa bawat episode ng 'All About Eve,' all the more tayo nagiging hooked sa istorya habang tumatagal. Mauricio. iGMA.tv recently paid Iza Calzado a visit while she was busy taping for All About Eve at kinunan natin siya ng kanyang insights about her character. "Siguro okay din ipakita mo na puwede ka pa rin maging palaban pero kahit anong laban mo, kung ganyan talaga ka-evil at ka-conniving yung kalaban mo, parang wala din eh," Iza explained when we asked if there would be a chance of Nicole seeking retribution sa mga malisyosong actions ni Erika. "Patay ka rin eh, kasi lumalaban siya, but at the same time, mapapa-ano siya na parang, 'You know what, it's not worth it.'" Pero hindi naman sinarado ni Iza ang possibility that, like in real life, no matter how kind or patient a person can be, Nicole may just wake up one day at magkaroon ng realization na hindi dapat pinapayagang mangyari lahat ng masamang hangarin ni Erika sa kanya. Iza discloses, "Hindi bale na lang, [you say] but then you know, sometimes your buttons are just pushed for her to really react like, 'Roar!' 'Yun, di ba? Tao ka lang, 'yun 'yon eh. I mean in the end of the day, your temper can be triggered by just, by anybody, or anything, you know, if he gets to you. Sometimes din, mali din ni Nicole, she lets it get to her pero mga low blow din naman kasi talaga minsan." At especially now when Nicole just learned about Kenneth Cortez's (Mark Anthony Fernandez) affectations towards her, magti-trigger pa ito ng confusion sa kanyang character. Iza reveals, "Well, he (Kenneth) likes me. 'Yun 'yon eh. Gusto niya 'yung parang, he likes me, but my loyalty. Not naman loyalty, you know. But I have feelings for Warren (Alfred Vargas). So 'yun 'yon." Para naman kay Iza, this current role of hers represents another challenge, given na hindi ganun kadalas siya mabigyan ng mga roles na mala-prinsesa katulad ni Nicole: "Well, basically siyempre 'yung romance, hindi. Pero mae-explore pa natin 'yan. So far 'yun pa lang eh. Pagdating kasi sa avenues, even if I do the hosting—I kind of do hosting already so this is really [familiar with] me—the avenues of having romantic-comedy type of scenes. But in my entire seven years of show business, it's [has] not really been [that often]. Kung baga, [I do love to] explore it. It's not really been the type of role that is given to me. I think the last time was Te Amo." We all know that soap was the springboard that catapulted Iza into sucess and led her to becoming the artist that she is now.
