WATCH: U2's The Edge asks for Direk Quark Henares's calling card

By Dianara Alegre

David Howell Evans, better known as The Edge of the world's biggest rock band U2, was spotted in a bar in Makati yesterday, December 10.

One of the lucky Filipinos who got to see the legendary guitarist in the flesh was film director Quark Henares.

Of course, he gladly bragged the news online by sharing a photo of them together on Instagram.

He wrote, “Look who passed by @agimatbar tonight!

“I thanked him for one of the best shows in my life when I saw him at Madison Square Garden.”

The director then went political by thanking U2 for their remark regarding the current administration.

“I thanked him for being brave enough to say what they said about our government. He thanked us for the food and drink, especially the crab,” he added.

He was also ecstatic over the fact that The Edge asked for his calling card when the latter later found out that he is a director.

“Midway someone was lovely enough to tell him 'this guy's a great director.' He said, 'really? Give me your card.' And it's only sinking in as I type this.

“THE F*CKING EDGE HAS MY BUSINESS CARD! #toomuchisnotenough #u2.”

Meanwhile, Eat Bulaga host Joey de Leon also posted a photo of his son Jako de Leon with The Edge.

“My son Jako with one of the top guitarists of all time, The Edge of U2,” he wrote.

U2 is in the country for their The Joshua Tree tour that will take place tonight, December 11.
