Richard Gomez slips, reveals plot point in 'All About Eve' finale

Nawala si Richard Gomez sa "All About Eve" for two weeks—but that doesn't stop him from revealing a spoiler tungkol sa huling linggo ng show. Text by Jason John S. Lim. Interview by Connie M. Tungul. Photos by Mitch S. Mauricio. "I had to go on a vacation," Richard Gomez explains about his disappearance sa show. Matatandaan na nagkaroon ang All About Eve ng story-arc wherein everyone had thought Frederico, Richard's character, had been blown up with his yacht. Pero with Richard back in the country, Frederico is now also back in the picture. "Ang daming developments na nangyari sa story," sabi ng aktor. And that's one reason kung bakit hindi siya makapagkwento masyado about his character. What he does know though is what will happen next. After all, na-tape na nila ang finale ng show. "Mare-reveal 'yung true character ni Alma, ni Eula [Valdez]," he teases, in exchange for not talking about his character. "Mare-reveal din 'yung katotohanan kay Sunshine. Maraming dramatic highlights." Puwede bang ikuwento ni Richard ang mga yan? Mukha naman. After all, ano nga ba ang true character ni Alma? Pero ito ang isang matinding spoiler from Richard: kung sino man ang matirang buhay, magiging isang masayang pamilya. Sino nga ba ang mga mamamatay? We'll just have to watch to find out! Basta Richard has this to say, "Maraming negative na characters—mare-redeem 'yung mga ‘yun." But will they turn out to be good in the end? Ang masasabi na lang ni Richard? "I had fun working with them—sila Jean [Garcia], si Eula, si Sunshine [Dizon]. And I'm going to miss them." That's one way of avoiding the question! Or was that actually an answer? One thing for sure, Richard hopes that if viewers are to take anything from the show, he wants them to appreciate family values. "It's the kind of story that really touches the lives of people—whether buo 'yung pamilya or magkahiwalay. Makaka-relate 'yung maraming tao. It's a story about family." While he is sad that All About Eve is airing for only 13 weeks, one season sa GMA Telebabad, he is definitely excited naman for his next show—whatever that show may be. And siyempre, "hintayin natin dumating 'yung Family Feud ulit, after ng Hole in the Wall," he adds. Isang linggo na lang ang natitira for the characters of All About Eve! Sinu-sino kaya ang ibig sabihin ni Richard na magkakaroon ng redemption? At ano 'yung true character ni Alma na kanyang binanggit? Siyempre you have to tune in to find out.
