Keempee wants to be a kontrabida

Kung si Keempee de Leon ang papipiliin, he wants his next role to be that of a kontrabida. Mauricio. "Kung ano 'yung next na gagawin ko," Keempee de Leon pauses for a minute. "Kung ano ang next big project na ibibigay ng GMA. Ako naman ay hindi namimili." Though if given a choice, Keempee says he wants the chance to play a kontrabida. "Para maiba." Though, sa GMA naman daw, lahat ng artista nakakaikot ng iba't-ibang roles. He reminds us of a scene from an earlier episode of All About Eve, "'yung kami ni Alfred [Vargas] nag-away?" Keempee proudly shares na napuna ni Direk Gil Tejada [the show's director] ang change kay Keempee. "Sabi nga rin ni [Sunshine Dizon], 'Ayan, kuya! Na-miss ko 'yung acting mo na ganyan.'" "Doon napapakita 'yung, I guess, versatiliy mo. 'yung acting ability mo." Meanwhile, sa pagtatapos ng All About Eve, walang lungkot na nararamdaman si Keempee—pero he admits na may mami-miss siya: ang co-actors niya at ang staff ng show. "Hindi naman sa common answer 'yun, 'no?" He tells us, "In a way [kasi], dito ko lang na-discover na ganoon din kakulit 'yung mga katrabaho ko.” With Sunshine, na ilang taon rin niyang nakasama sa Bahay Mo Ba 'To?, hindi na surprised si Keempee. "Pero for how many years 'di kami nagsama, ngayon na lang ulit. And sa drama [pa]! So ito seryoso, pero 'yung kakulitan pa rin namin behind the scene, nandoon pa rin.” He adds, "Actually lahat, from [Richard Gomez] to Jean Garcia, to Eula [Valdez], hindi mo akalain na ganoon 'yung mga character nila in front of the camera, pero behind the camera, talagang mga lukaret!" Agad niyang kwento niya, sabay tawa. During the last taping day of All About Eve nga raw, "nag-bonding lang kami—ang sarap. At saka walang naging problema with this [group]. Lahat very cooperative." Tonight, the final episode of All About Eve will air. Keempee teases, "may mga revelations na mangyayari, may mga twists." And though his co-stars have been very vocal na happy naman ang magiging ending, Keempee says otherwise. "Hindi ko masabi kung happy ending or sad ending—kailangan talagang panoorin.
