By Marah Ruiz

Wendy of South Korean girl group Red Velvet celebrated her birthday yesterday, February 21, 2020, by coming out of her Instagram hiatus and giving fans an update about her health.

She began by thanking those who sent her birthday greetings.

"Dear our ReVeluv, Hello everyone, it's Wendy! Missed me much? :)

"It's been awhile since I've uploaded my latest post. I just wanted to thank you everyone for all the love and support you have shared with me on my birthday. Thank you from the bottom of my heart," she wrote.

She then revealed that her recovery is going great and hopes to be able to perform again soon.

"Also, I'm recovering very well, thanks to all of our ReVeluv ♥️ As I said during my Instagram live, I won't be going anywhere but always singing right next to you as Wendy. I hope to see you all soon on stage!" she continues.

Finally, she thanked them for sticking by her.

"Thanks to you all, our Reveluv, for coming into my life and taking a huge part of my journey. Miss you lots Muahh" she ends.

Wendy suffered an accident last December during the rehearsals for the year end show 2019 SBS Gayo Daejeon. She fell off the stage and sustained fractures on her pelvis, wrists, and cheekbone.

Before her birthday post, Wendy's last post on Instagram was a Christmas greeting dated December 24, 2019--a day before her accident.
