Lovi Poe eager to work with former love team Benjamin Alves in 'Owe My Love'
Kapuso actress Lovi Poe will once again dazzle televiewers with her acting prowess and comedic wit via her Kapuso soap Owe My Love with her dashing leading man Benjamin Alves.
GMA Public Affairs assembled a powerhouse cast and the best of the best of comedy stars in showbiz today.
Joining Lovi and Benjamin in Owe My Love are Comedy Concert Queen Aiai Delas Alas, Jackie Lou Blanco, Nova Villa, Winwyn Marquez, and Leo Martinez, to name a few.
During GMANetwork.com's exclusive interview with Lovi after the story conference held this Thursday afternoon, February 27, Lovi lauded the whole cast of her new soap.
She said, “Sobrang nagpapasalamat ako dahil ipinagkatiwala itong proyektong ito sa akin. Talagang na-excite ako kasi talagang napakahusay ng mga kasama ko and excited na rin ako i-share ito sa lahat ng tao.”
The Kapuso actress, whose last soap was The One That Got Away in 2018 starring Max Collins and Rhian Ramos, also shared what made her say yes to do this project.
She pointed out that aside from being a light romcom series, the program will also be educational, too.
“Unang-una sa lahat, ang pinaka nagpa-oo sa akin sa proyektong ito - it teaches people lesson while having fun.
“Tsaka the fact na tayong mga Pinoy pagod na tayo sa trabaho or stuck tayo sa traffic pag-uwi natin sa bahay, gusto na natin mag-relax at gusto natin mag-enjoy.
“So pag-on mo sa TV ang mapapanood mo ay Owe My Love and then doon matutulog ka na happy ka para paggising mo sa umaga dala-dala mo pa rin.”
Reunion with Benjamin Alves
Owe My Love is a sort of reunion project for Lovi and Benjamin. If you remember, they worked together in Beautiful Strangers five years ago.
“Of course nung ginawa naming 'yung Beautiful Strangers, heavy drama tapos ngayon complete opposite, tapos since five years ago pa 'yun, 'yung energy siguro namin as a love team before madadala namin uli this time on a different level pa.”
Hindi Tayo Puwede movie
Aside from her latest Kapuso soap, Lovi is also busy promoting her movie 'Hindi Tayo Puwede' under Viva Films, which is slated to premiere this coming March 4.

According to her, 'Hindi Tayo Puwede' is a story about 'learning to love again.'
She shared, “It's a story of life and learning to love again or realizing that yes you can love people but you can't love the same way twice.”
Thru this movie, Lovi also got the chance to work with two of the hottest leading men in showbiz namely Tony Labrusca and Marco Gumabao.
Lovi considers this as a learning opportunity to be able to act alongside talents from the rival network.
Explaining, she said, “I'm very grateful kasi just to be given the opportunity to be able to work with different actors sa kabilang network pa, talagang ang sarap lang, because it molds me as an artist eh.
“Kasi every actor that you work with you learn from them so this is another opportunity to learn and make more friends, build relationships.”
