Actor Kim Woo Bin will be starring in a science fiction movie which will begin filming this March.

South Korean actor Kim Woo Bin will reportedly begin filming for an upcoming science-fiction movie this March.

The movie's working title is 'Aliens' and is a crime and science fiction film about aliens living in Korea. The movie will feature time slips or unexpected time travel between the Joseon Dynasty and the present time.

The filming has been postponed due to the coronavirus disease 2019 or COVID-19, but will begin between March and April this year. Kim Woo Bin will reportedly start filming on March 28.

The movie reunites him with director Choi Dong Hoon. The two were filming Wiretap, a remake of the 2009 Hong Kong film Overheard, when production was halted due to the actor's cancer diagnosis.

Aside from Kim Woo Bin, the stellar cast includes Ryu Jun Yeol (Reply 1988), Kim Tae Ri (Mr. Sunshine), Jo Woo Jin (Mr. Sunshine), beauty queen-turned-actress Honey Lee, Kim Eui Sung (Train to Busan), Yum Jung Ah (Sky Castle), and So Ji Sub (The Master's Sun, Oh My Venus).

The film will be produced in two installments with both parts slated for a 2021 release.

Kim Woo Bin was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer in May 2017 and went on hiatus to focus on his health and getting treatment.

He resumed his activities in November 2019 as he appeared as a presenter at the 40th Blue Dragon Film Awards. A much-awaited fan meeting followed shortly in December 2019.

He returned to television as a narrator for the MBC documentary Humanimals in January 2020.
