Alanis Morissette postpones Manila concert amid COVID-19

Alanis Morissette postponed her upcoming shows in Asia and Australia, including her two-night concert in Manila that is supposed to happen on April 6 and 7 at the Mall of Asia Arena, due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

The seven-time Grammy award winner announced the news on her official Facebook page Monday, March 16.

Alanis said, "The safety and health of everyone comes first. Unfortunately, the upcoming shows in Japan, Manila, Australia and New Zealand are being rescheduled for later dates. Please hang on to your tickets (except Bluesfest in Byron Bay), details to come soon for the rescheduled shows. Take care of yourself, of each other. I love you. xo."

Alanis went back on a world tour to celebrate the 25th anniversary of her debut album, "Jagged Little Pill."

After her six-year hiatus, she is set to release her ninth studio album titled "Such Pretty Forks in the Road" on May 1, 2020.
